 John Morris is the driving force behind The Blues Preachers, who began their traditional Delta/Country Blues journey in the early 1990s. Many fine musicians have been part of this project and have gone on to develop successful solo careers. They include C.W. Stoneking, Damon Davies, Dan Sexton, Tim Mclean and Tamlin Tregoning. A highlight of the project was their performance at the Byron Bay Blues Festival in 1993, which was featured on ABC TVs Blue Moon Over Byron.

John is a Delta/Country Blues specialist and a fingerstyle/slide guitar wizard. Blues enthusiasts will appreciate the fact that the Blues Preachers are the real deal and are one of only a handful of acts performing this music authentically. They have also passionately explored integrating elements of Country, Folk, African, Indian and contemporary music into their over all sound.
